The Naturist Foundation
The Naturist Foundation was registered as a recreational charity
in 1976, as successor to the North Kent Sun Club, who became the
first Trustees and provided the first facilities in 1959. The
grounds had basic facilities only then and the majority of the
services available today have been created by the voluntary
efforts of our contributors.
Today there are 50 acres of woodland park including a pool and
numerous sports facilities for games from volleyball, table
tennis, badminton, petanque and boules. The well equipped
pavilion has a long glazed sun terrace and includes a cafeteria
serving light refreshments. Drinks are also available at the
Jubilee Bar.
There is also a 10 acre campsite for tents and caravans with
electricity hook-ups, hot showers, laundry and toilet areas. The
perimeter includes a mile long jogging track and woodland walks
are also available.
Members are drawn from young people and families from the South
East of England, from six local Sun Societies which between them
cover Greater London and the surrounding area.
New members are always welcome and facilities are provided for a
weekend trial visit to prospective new members. For more
information, contact the Naturist Foundation HQ at Orpington,
Kent, telephone 01689 871200.
